As someone who spent 19 years of their life in southeast Michigan now living in Connecticut for a little over a decade… I get tired of hearing about “The Big 3”, who’s got the best char, thin pizza and blah, blah, blah. 😒 Whole time, I’m craving what I grew up on… A thick pizza with a SUPER crispy edge, brick cheese, curly pepperoni, square pies and that magical flavor profile of the Detroit-style pizza! 😍 Made famous by legendary names such as Buddy’s, Jet’s, Hungry Howie’s and Cottage Inn, Bobbi’s right here in New Haven, CT has brought that favor to the east coast! 😁 1️⃣: We started out with the Toadstool which is a white pizza with sweet potatoes, mushroom confit and baby kale. Eh, this was a wild take, but it worked okay-ly. Lol. My wife didn’t want a bunch of processed meats on her pizza, so I respect her choice, even though she gave up the red sauce for this one. 2️⃣: Next we were able to try the Butter Chicken which contains Sherkaan’s (Indian restaurant next door) makhani sauce, tandoori chicken, yogurt drizzle and cilantro. Got to experience this cool pizza shop because of YELP CT ! Thank you again ! We got 16$ off our order! For being YELP elites !!! I decided to try the BUFF CHIX for $22.00 it came with house buffalo sauce, pulled chicken, crumbled blue cheese and celery. It was yummy! I loved how the edges of the pizza had a nice crunchy cheesy texture to them. My partner got the SGT PEPPERONI for $20.00 it came with red sauce , hot honey, pepperoni and basil. It looked delicious. To drink I enjoyed the house wine. It was $10.00 we also enjoyed the salt and pepper fries for 5$ and the Smokey bbq wings for $11.00 . Overall restaurant was clean. Service was fast. Food was fresh and tasty.

I was in New Haven for an event and got a delicious Detroit-style pizza from Bobbi's. I ordered the Huey. Red sauce italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. I got it to go, but it looked so good, and I was so hungry, it didn't make it back to Hartford intact. I was munching in New Haven's traffic. Bobbi's has great food, a cool vibe, bright, colorful atmosphere, and friendly service. This is a great option when in the New Haven area. Next i want to try their smashburger!

Their Detroit style pizza was good. Tried their butter chicken pizza and pepperoni one. I would recommend to try those. Their cheese bread was also delicious with garlic parm wings. Nice to try different type of pizza around New Haven.
